A Person-Centred Approach With Advanced Plus

At ACCA and AACA, our focus has always been on providing thoughtful, high-standard assessments and meaningful interventions for children, adults, and families. We’re now pleased to introduce Advanced Plus, a progressive service built to deliver a more integrated, agile, and person-led approach to social care.

Advanced Plus consolidates a range of specialist services within a single, cohesive framework. The aim is to simplify access for both professionals and service users, while strengthening outcomes, promoting stability, and supporting healthier communities.

Why Advanced Plus Was Developed

Advanced Plus emerged in response to increasing demand for coordinated, whole-system support. As needs become more complex, there is a clear requirement for services that go beyond assessment and actively contribute to long-term change. This model is designed to bridge that gap, offering a comprehensive, wraparound provision that complements existing structures while remaining adaptable and centred on individual needs.

Core Services Within Advanced Plus
Advanced Plus brings together several interconnected services to provide well-rounded support:

  • 24/7 In-Home Programme: Intensive, continuous support delivered within the family environment by experienced practitioners, enabling real-time observation and guidance.
  • SNAP (Strengths and Needs Analysis Programme): A structured framework for understanding individual circumstances and shaping targeted intervention plans.
  • TOP (Teaching, Observe, Practice): A practical, skills-based approach that focuses on modelling and reinforcing positive behaviours in everyday settings.
  • Community Supervision and Outreach: Ongoing, flexible support that promotes consistency while encouraging independence.
  • Contact Supervision: Managed secure settings that allow families to maintain relationships in a safe and constructive way.

The 24/7 In-Home Model

A central element of Advanced Plus, this programme enables assessment and intervention to take place within the natural home setting. By working directly within day-to-day environments, practitioners can develop a more accurate understanding of family dynamics and parenting capacity. This approach supports better-informed decisions, helps maintain existing support networks, and can reduce the likelihood of placement disruption.

Positioning Alongside ACCA and AACA

While ACCA and AACA each focus on distinct areas, children’s and adult services, respectively, Advanced Plus operates across both, combining expertise into a more flexible delivery model. It is designed to respond dynamically to the realities of each case, rather than fitting individuals into predefined service boundaries.

Wider Community Impact

The objective of Advanced Plus is to create more stable, less disruptive outcomes. Whether supporting families to remain together safely, strengthening parenting capability, or providing robust evidence for professional decision-making, the emphasis is on clarity, continuity, and measurable results. This also supports local authorities and legal teams by reducing duplication and improving efficiency.

Looking Forward

Advanced Plus represents the start of an ongoing development. Continued investment in workforce capability, service refinement, and stakeholder feedback will ensure the model evolves in line with emerging needs and sector expectations.
