24/7 in the Home

Undertaken by independent social workers, parenting practitioners and social work assistants, our 24/7 in the Home Programme is carried out over a six week period. A team is allocated to each case who work on a rotating shift basis within the parent’s home.

Undertaken by our team of experienced Parenting Practitioners, the SNAP (Strengths and Needs Analysis) Programme is an additional service, that can be included as part of our double award winning Programme, which support parents to develop their capacity to independently care for their children.

We can provide support and supervision to families through our ‘Waking Night’ provision. Offering welcome respite to families who are struggling with the care of their children.

Our Positive Activities and Day Respite provision is delivered by our experienced Family Support Workers and offers parents the opportunity of support at times of particular vulnerability.

When conflict between parents begins to impact their ability to recognise and meet the needs of their children, ACCA’s Family Repair and Positive Co-Parenting work can help them to refocus.

Family Group Conferences are intended as a respectful and empowering process in which parents, children, wider family members, family friends and professionals meet together and are given clear information about safeguarding concerns and are asked to produce a detailed plan to address those concerns and reduce risks to children.

Teaching Tops Programme

Undertaken by our team of highly experienced Family Support Workers, ACCA’s TOP bespoke Parenting Programme is an additional service, that can be included as part of our double award winning 24/7 In the Home Programme, which support parents in their own home to develop their capacity to independently care for their children, or as a stand alone service which supports the development of a parents capacity to effectively and consistently meet the needs of their children independently and reduces the likelihood of separating children from their families.

The Children Act 1989 imposes a duty upon Local Authorities to promote ‘reasonable contact’ between a looked after child and his/her parents and specified others providing this is consistent with the child’s welfare and it is reasonably practical to do so.

ACCA can provide support and supervision to families through our Outreach provision. Offering support and safeguarding, in hospital and within the community
