Introducing Advanced Plus

An Interview with Sarah Roddy on the New Frontier in Social Care

We welcome Sarah Roddy, General Manager of Advanced Child Care Assessments (ACCA) and Advanced Adult Care Assessments (AACA), to introduce the exciting new initiative – Advanced Plus.

Advanced Plus is a groundbreaking brand under the umbrella of ACCA (Advanced Child Care Assessments) and AACA (Advanced Adult Care Assessments). We are dedicated to providing innovative, comprehensive, and compassionate social care services. Our mission is to support families, children, and adults through specialised services and tailored programmes that promote well-being and stability.

The brand promises to:

  • Provide evidence-based observations
  • Act within the child’s timescales

What inspired the creation of Advanced Plus?

The inspiration behind Advanced Plus stemmed from our commitment to providing comprehensive, innovative, and compassionate support. Over the years, we’ve seen our community’s evolving needs of children, families, and adults. We realised there was a gap in how services were integrated and delivered. Advanced Plus aims to bridge that gap by offering a more cohesive approach, ensuring that every individual’s needs are met holistically.

Can you elaborate on the types of services Advanced Plus will offer?

Advanced Plus will house several vital services:

  • Our 24/7 In the Home Programme
  • Community-Based Supervision
  • SNAP (Strengths and Needs Analysis Programme)
  • TOP (Teaching, Observe and Practice) Programme
  • Outreach and Contact Supervision

These services are designed to provide continuous support and monitoring tailored to the unique needs of each family or individual. They are thorough and designed to understand the individual’s needs completely.

The 24/7 In the Home Programme sounds particularly unique. Can you tell us more about it?

The 24/7 In the Home Programme is a unique and innovative offering that involves continuous support and monitoring within the family home and local community. Conducted by Independent Social Workers and experienced Parenting Practitioners, this program provides an in-depth assessment of a family’s ability to care for their child in their natural environment.

It offers a realistic and thorough evaluation of their strengths and needs, minimising the stress associated with multiple placements. By keeping the family within their support network, this programme promotes stability and better outcomes, fostering a supportive community environment.

How does the brand differ from ACCA and AACA?

While ACCA and AACA will continue to provide specialised services for children and adults, Advanced Plus is about integrating these services into a more unified approach. It allows us to offer a broader range of support under one brand, making it easier for clients to access the needed services. Advanced Plus is designed to be more flexible and responsive, adapting to our client’s evolving needs and the complexities of their situations.

How do you envision Advanced Plus impacting the community?

We believe the brand will significantly enhance our community’s social care quality. By providing more integrated and comprehensive services, we can better support families, children, and adults in achieving stability and well-being. We aim to create a system that is effective, compassionate, and respectful of each individual’s unique circumstances. Advanced Plus empowers our clients and gives them the tools they need to thrive.

What challenges do you anticipate with the launch of Advanced Plus?

There is always an ongoing need for training and development to equip our staff with the latest knowledge and skills. However, we are confident that our dedicated team and the strong foundation we’ve built with ACCA and AACA will help us overcome these challenges.

Finally, what message would you like to send to the community about Advanced Plus?

I want the community to know Advanced Plus is here to support and uplift everyone who needs our services, especially our Local Authorities, Guardians and Legal Representatives. We are committed to providing the highest-quality care tailored to each person’s unique needs. Our approach is holistic, compassionate, and community-focused. We are excited to embark on this journey and look forward to positively impacting the lives of those we serve.

A quote that says, 'ACCA's dedicated team of Independent Social Workers, Psychologists and Parenting Practitioners work collaboratively with local authorities to provide expert assessments and tailored interventions. We aim to ensure every child’s best interests are at the forefront of decision-making, offering practical solutions that empower families while promoting child safety and well-being.'
