Liams Journey with Advanced Plus

Overview

Liam, a 10-year-old boy with behavioural challenges, was referred to Advanced Plus following several incidents at school and a deteriorating home environment. His mother, struggling with mental health issues, found it increasingly difficult to manage his behaviour, and the family was on the brink of separation. Recognising the risks, a referral was made to Advanced Plus’s 24/7 In the Home Programme, which offered a comprehensive intervention to stabilise the family and prevent further disruption.

The 24/7 in the Home Programme

A unique alternative to traditional assessments, this programme facilitated comprehensive support while ensuring the children’s safety within their home environment. A dedicated team of parenting practitioners provided guidance and monitoring four days a week, effectively managing and mitigating identified risks. Community-based supervision allowed the mother to develop the necessary parenting skills gradually.
